  4. Yes, it's a very nice piece of music and poetry! I listen to it and it calms me down!
  5. "M' ena parapono" is already broadcasted on the radio. It's trully beautifull and shows the imagination Dalaras posseses!!!
  6. Yes, it's the first time I am glad that BB spoiled the program!!

  8. Merci beaucoup, Francois. Just wanted to solve any trouble or misunderstanding I caused with Franz.
  9. Franz, please don't get me wrong. I saw a few mad smileys in your post Let me explain myself, although George's explanation was good enough. I never meant that you don't need to know about that concert, since you live outside Greece, so come on, let's write in Greek since nobody else cares. Not at all! I just could never have imagined it would really interest you so much. About my quote that "some people in this group are special". As Geoge said, by "special", I meant "exceptional". I am so surprised by the fact that quite a few people, who had no relation with Greece, learned out language just to be able to understand what Dalaras sings. I'm so surprised that a group of foreign fellows shows so much interest in Greek music and culture. I'm so surprised that people from around the world love him more than most of his countrymen. I'm so surprised that Dalaras causes the same sentiments to you, as it does to me, because for me it's 10 times easier to understant him. So, seeing you understanding him and his music as much as I do, only causes my admiration for you. And, oh boy, I'm soooo surprised to see you Franz getting mad for missing a couple of posts written in Greek. This must certainly mean that you love Dalaras more than I do! The conclusion of all the above is that you guys are exceptional, making this group and this company exceptional. Most of you might know that there are -unfortunately- many people in Greece who have the wrong idea about the man called Dalaras and his work. So, I'm finally happy to be in the same company with some people with which we speak the same language. And by "language" I mean neither Greek or English. I mean the true love and admiration for this man and his work. The man to whom Greece owns its musical ressurection. Franz, I hope you understood me this time. I'm proud to be chatting with people like you!
  10. Hello everyone, I'm Themis. I've only posted 3 or 4 times, but I follow the forum for quite a while now. I just wanted to say that there is no reason we argue for the language the posts are written, because, firstly the concert at Katrakeio was a topic which concerned only Greek citizens, and in addition, greek posts are very few. Anyways, I hope I can participate more often in this forum, because I love George as much as you do, guys. Problem is I am serving my coutry at the navy and I don't have so much free time to follow every post. From what I've seen so far, some people in this group are somewhat special I'm looking forward for a meeting with the Greek fellows. Now that summer gets close, some foreign members of the forum could join us maybe ) Be well! 11. She didn't just sang faster, she lost a whole musical meter (έχασε ένα μέτρο). Anyway, I was at BOTH concerts (!!!). Everything seemed indeed normal as you say guys, and she did some discords, yes, but she didn't really seem to be pushed to sing high sometimes. In addition, the microphone dropped dead at one of the two concerts, something that wouldn't have happened in a playback. Well, as Nicolas said, who really cares? I know Dalaras was surely singing live and he was bloody impressive for once again. Anyone remember the τρίλια he did at "Theos an einai?". Themis
  12. Has any of you guys have ever talked to Dalaras in person? Ever met him in random and got the chance to talk to him? The closest I've ever be to him was at Iera Odo, where I only shaked his hand after the program had finished. He seemed a bit embarassed, of surprised maybe (or he probably was just feeling happy, I don't know), because about 30-40 young people ran at him, just to shake his hand. Others were taking photos, but I got what I really needed. That was a simple handshake However, a friend of mine really got to speak to him. And they didn't just exchanged a "good evening". They were talking for about 20 minutes. It was at Megaro Mousikis a few months ago, at Al di Meola's concert. Dalaras was there among the audience. My friend went to the backstage to search for Meola, but run over Dalaras!!! He took the chance to approach him (with the excuse of an autograph), but they ended up talking and talking! What can you really ask this man in 20 minutes? I don't know about you, but I feel really jeleous of my friend! How about you? 13. Hello to everyone, I'm Themis. I'm a new member to this forum... In September 2001, at 28 and 29 I think, many of you migth remember Dalaras' concert with Emma Shapplin. Dalaras sang Missa Criolla (is it spelled this way??) on the first part, then Shapplin sang about 10 of her songs (Spente de Stelle was included of course) and then Dalaras sang some excellent songs along with the orchestra (Cameratta) and closed the program with Shapplin. I have one question and one highlight. The highlight was Dalaras' performance at the Spente de Stelle. For those who have been there (Apha TV showed the concert in December, but you SHOULD have been at Hrodeio), the moment when Dalaras starts singing must have been marked in their minds!! Oh, boy, what a singer!!! Now, the question. Rumors say Shapplin was supported by a playback at some songs. Is that true? Can anyone answer with certainty? I don't want to believe Dalaras would ever accept such a thing.
