This is THE ALBUM. It is a mixture of Theodorakis revolutional music and Dalaras' epic voice. It is a tribute to 17 November 1973 the Polytexneio events and the fight of "φοιτητικό κίνημα" and KNE-KKEεξωτ,Ρήγας Φεραίος-ΚΚΕεσωτ,ΕΚΚΕ,ΠΑΜΕ,ΠΑΚ,ΔΑ and other anti-dictatorship parties It is an expression of the Greek feelings about DEMOCRACY and INDIPENDENCE Dalaras gives himself completely to sing this songs because they express them.HE FEELS THEM.His voice in many songs of this album,especially in Karterema,St' aspro ksokklisi and Tin Romiosini Mi Tin Klais makes him sound like Lenin in Octobrian Revolution,or CHE in Cuba or Aris Velouhiotis in Greek Partizan Movement.It is more than Gorgeous,Beautifull and Incredible.Dalaras shows his love for singing,his abilities and mostly his "left" ideology..... Sorry, for this expression of feelings but these songs make me shiver and almosr cry despite the fact thet I am only 18 years old.You see I am a "left" (αριστερός) guy...!

The album "Sta psyla ta parathyria" is one of the best of Dalaras.The songs included are "....ένα κι ένα..." as we,the greeks,say.Not only the well known( Mi mou thimoneis,Ola kala,Sta psyla ta parathyria,Sta xronia tis ipomonis) but also the "forgoten" such as Eheis tin porta sou klisti(great song,great instrumentation) and the best song of this album(..in my opinion) "Ax ti adiko". "...Aaax ti adikooo,aaaaax ti adikoooooo..."

I am looking for a song of Haroula Alexiou.I don't know it's title.The refrain is: " Πόσο λυπάμαι γι' αυτά που σου γράφω μακάρι να ήταν τα πράγματα αλλιώς" Τhe lyrics talk about a person who leaves in poverty in Athens(it says Aigaleo) and is writing to his rich uncle.... Do you know it? Who made it? In which CD can I find it?

Is there any topic in this forum talking about this movie(actually it's a docimanteur)? I want to buy this tape and I can't find it. I have not watched it all.Do you know if it is broatcasted in greek TV this month due to anniversary of 30 Years Polytexneio?

Does anyone knows where can I buy this DVD or VHS in Thessaloniki? Please tell me?I have been looking forward to see it for years...!

I think that Giannis Parios was selecting good songs for his voice in 70s.The records "Pou tha paei,pou", "Ti theleis na kano", "Giannis Parios", "Tora pia" are very good. Pesonally, I have "Pou tha paei,pou" and it contains very beautiful songs such as "Ax kanarini mou", "Tha se thymamai", "Sygnomi pou s' agapisa poly".Also I have "Odos Aristotelous" of Spanos and Papadopoulos whith Alexiou,Kalatzis and Parios.In this record Parios sings two of his best songs:"Eipa na fygo","San tin pikrodafni"....

Bouzouki.The classic greek ogan and the most adorable in my opinion.Vamvakaris gave it its glory,Xiotis changed its view,Tsitsanis and Theodorakis made it famous in the rest world. Many people argue whether Manolis Xiotis did well when he added the 4th string to 3-string bouzouki and gave the instrument its final view.I believe that he didn't do well,because he made constructors not only to work more but also to make lower-quality instruments.3-string bouzouki is "stronger" than 4-string.Also it is well known that bouzouki is a 3-string instrument such as baglamas and tzouras.The 4-string is a guitar-bouzouki. Anyway,I know who to play bouzouki and its similar instruments(baglama,tzouras) and I would like to make a conversation in this forum about bouzouki.I believe it deserves it....

Ο Γιώργος Νταλάρας αποδεικνύει για άλλη μια φορά(όπως συνηθίζει άλλωστε..) το πόσο μεγάλος τραγουδιστής είναι.Κάταπληκτικές ερμηνείες(ο Θοδ.Παπαδόπουλος ερμηνεύει καταπληκτικά το "Κάφτονε Σταύρο"),καταπληκτικη!!!! ενορχήστρωση με 4 τρίχορδα μπουζούκια κ τον Νταλάρα να συμμετέχει παίζοντας μπουζούκι πολύ ωραία με καθαρά ρεμπέτικο στύλ. I have the CD 50 Xronia Rebetico Tragoudi.I don't have the LP.So I don't have the songs included in the LP,songs that are not included in CD.If I manage to find to find this LP I wan't be able to listen to it because I don't have this kind of machine. If anyone has the kindness and he knows how to do it I would be very very very very very pleased to send me these tracks.PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

Ι think that the views of the site you suggested Fadi and Francois are not serious but fanatic.They say many true things but I wasn't mean to harm tetrahordo.However I think that tetrahordo is more suitable with symfonic orchestras. As far the electrism is concerned I believe that bouzouki sound is killed when bouzouki is plugged in....!

Don't you think that "Athanasia" is the best moment in this CD? Dalaras sings it in an incredible way.....!

"Sergiani ston kosmo" is an excellent work.All the songs are very good.But I think "Enas aponos aeras" is one of the best Dalaas' songs.The sound of tzouras in the begining of this song makes me..shiver. " Enas aponos aeras m' exei ferei os edo kai sto girisma ti meras eipa na se ksanado...."

For this week ''Tha simanoun oi kabanes" of G.Ritsos An epic song...!So the whole Romiosini is...!

This summer until now I have been working in my cousins store who is a constructor of musical insruments(bouzouki,tzoura,baglama,guitar).His father,I mean my uncle,is a constructor too and he is very experienced in this job.Well,he told me a story..... It was in 1973 when my uncle decided to visit Gavrilos who was a famous constructor in Athens.My uncle was in Gavrilos' store when the door opened and three persons got in the store.The three men was Giorgos Zambetas,Stamatis Kokotas and Giorgos Dalaras.They sitted and Gavrilos offered ouzo for everyone(nice job..!don't you think?).... Suddenly Zampetas grabbed a baglama and started playing...Then Dalaras grabbed the guitar and followed Zambetas..... You can imagine what followed......Hours with rebetika songs....!

For this week "T' aspro xokklisi" from 18 Lianotragouda.Very touching song and.....what a lyric? "....tin ekourdizei oloniktis gia tou Ai Laou ti sholi.." Πραγματικά αριστερό τραγούδι.....!

My uncle does not play any musical instruments.My cousin teacher of acoustic and electric guitars and he also plays bouzouki and the other instruments like baglama and tzoura. As far as your first question,my uncle doesn't work any more and he didn't have any more experiences like this.He rarely visited Athens(we live in Thessaloniki) so he didn't have the same luck again....

I don't like "Mystika".I don't know why.My whole family and especially my sister who doesen't like Dalaras,loves this song. I think that Xaroulas song in this CD is much better.........!

I think a cooperation whith Demetris Basis would be great...! Basis is an excellent singer with a very beautiful voice who reminds alittle of Dalaras and Bithikotsis together...

This is one from the two very very favourest Dalaras' songs I think it's one of the best Greek songs............ The video you said about Francois makes me shiver.....
