I was in the Megaron of Thessaloniki on 2th February where they sang "Athanasia" although "Kourasmeno Palikari" was in the programme.

They also sang "Pyretos" instead of "Otan simanei H ora" (did they ever sing this ??) and also "Aharisti" that was not in the programme..

I just heard Πριν το τέλος on the radio, hadn't heard it before.

It stopped me short and I completely forgot what I was doing.

Then after a bit I remembered the other version, the one with Papakonstantinou, with a rock band (here there are harps!!), and I went a little crazy!

The next song the radio played was by Aleksiou, and it struck me again, that there is something... It's not a similarity, exactly, the voices of Aleksiou and Marinella are not really alike, but they keep reminding me of each other.

Can anyone hear what I mean?

I know, somewhere else I recently said that IT'S ALL OVER NOW, but this is AN AFTERMATH.

For people who think that Astron is right, just DID YOU EVER SEE ANY ATTEMPT OF HIS TO COMMUNICATE WITH ME, unless you think it is communication when he, out of the blue, said to me ,who did not know him and he did not know me and not a word had been said beforehand between us two, either good or bad, that I NEEDED A SHRINK, while it was OBVIOUS to anyone who has a heart, that i need friends and love which shrinks do not give , they take from you,money., and that I came to the club to look for friends and I said that openly in asking for a welcome and instead of the welcome I got THAT from him...If anyone did see some communication attempt that I failed to see, please fotiste me, ENLIGHTEN ME!!! I am saying this, because he had said that communication with me is not possible! THIS IS A CHEEKY REVERSAL OF THESIS, and for some that may not know wht this means, it means that he was saying to and about me, what I should have said to and about him...reversal of thesis....a cunny and cheeky thing to say, by which you throw sand in the opponents eye AND in the viewer's eyes, too...a good strategy, that is, known in intellectual but not honest circles....like in parliaments...

Here i must admitt that I had made a slip at that early stage of enthusiasm over having somebody tht I am allowed to tell about my love for giorgo without being mocked at, and the slip was that i then said thet mothers with only one son have a sort of suspicion whom of the two, ton Giorgo or their boy, they LOVE BETTER!!!

WHAT A NONSENCE, NOT IN ME SAYING IT, SINCE IT WAS OF COURSE METHAFORICALLY,FOR ALL WOMEN, EVEN NON MOTHERS JUST BY THEIR NATURE KNOW THAT THOSE TWO LOVES ARE DIFFERENT AND THEY DO NOT FIGHT EASH OTHER. WITH NORMAL WOMAN, THERE IS NOT ANYTHING MORE PRECIOUS THAN HER CHILD AND ALL LOVES COME AFTE, EVEN LOVE FOR HER OWN LIFE.. Well, he once dared to say that I am INVADING almost every topic of the DALARAS club. I emfecized the word DALARAS

As is well known Dalaaras is a Greek while Mozart was an Austrian guy, while Bethoven was German and EINSTEIN was Jew.

All the four great people belong to the whole humanitu, of course, but only after their own people.

Cosequently, Dalaras is my guy, not the Frenshman's, and furthermore, this is my cllub and only AGTER THAT, it is the whole world's. Right? Right!.. When I say "my" i mean Greek, of course.

I think that anybody who knows GREEK MUSIC AND DALARAS, ALSO KNOWS THAT DALARAS COULD NOT HAVE POSSIBLY BEEEN BORN AND BECOME SUSH AS HE IS, OUTSIDE OF GREECE AND OF GREEK BLOOD. IT IS COMMON SENCE FOR ANYONE WHO HAS ANY SENCE AND KNOWS ANYTHING ON GOOD MUSIC.

For the last few months I hadn't had the proper time to get into the club. just a couple of days ago I started to catch up with you. I actually was really excited about returning, seeing the old members and the new ones, of course. Now that I've finished reading most of the topics, I'm surprised.

I saw the messages of athinaia and was surprised by her attitude. I won't stay in what she said but I'm very annoyed about the things she keeps saying about some of the best members of the club. I'm trying to understand what's behind all this, I even tried to understand her but the only thing that's in my mind right now is that she is a huge racist. She keeps calling Francois frenchman, and yes he is. He is french and so what? Are you one of these gyus who say that greeks are the best people in the whole wide world cause I want to inform you that we're not. And what is this about Dalaras and greeks? If Dalaras heard you he would surely laugh. Dalaras music not Dalaras belongs to anyone who can appreciate it!!!!

I've been away for quite some time.

And though I have not had a chance to fully read all the posts,

I merely glanced and skewed throught a hand full of them.

I don't know much to form my own opionion yet as I haven't read all of the posts, but I do welcome all the new members and give them a fair chance to speak unless they totally bring chaos here to the club.

but please bear in mind, we've had some problems in the past with members posting stuff that was offensive and insulting.

We don't welcome any of that.

I don't know you yet but I think what you were trying to convey were your own personal opionions and feelings on some of the Greek Artists you may not have liked or preferred.

However, sometimes the way the wording is used in context and most importantly the way its said from the choice of words used can be attacking and offending.

I'm sure you didn't mean any harm or bias when you expressed your feelings as to how you feel about such and such an artist.

Thats ok and there's nothing wrong with that.

but the way it came out I think it was a little bit too blurry and distorted to the other members point of view in here.

And also this may not even have been the right thread to post that view but that's another issue and I don't want to dwell on that here.

I think you mean well and want to become a new friend in here and since I would like to get to know more about whom Athinaia really is

There's always so much more we can benefit and learn from one another if we take the time out and listen what we have to say;

All the songs are duets - sung by both of them - except one: "O,ti tragoudo" which is a solo of Marinella.

Of course, in some of the songs, someone sings the first voice and the other the second voice during the whole song.. We still call these songs duets as both of the voices are "great" and sing in the same volume..

Hi!! Irene, in each concert they usually sang some 37-38 songs, of which the 8 were solos (4 of Marinella and 4 of Dalaras), so all the other were duets!!

As far as the Live Cds is concerned, no in such a point.. There is of course the IERA ODOS II cd where there are 10 duets in a total of 15 songs: 1 duet with Tsaligopoulou (she does the second voice), 6 duets with Fragkoulis, 1 duet with Thivaios, 1 duet with Ypogeia Revmata and a polyphonic version of "Vasiliki" along with Famellos & Podilates.

In the ATTIKON cd, there are several duets with Vasilis Papakonstantinou in the second CD.
