Posted October 30, 2001 · Report post For this week (and not only I'm afraid) I've fallen in love with a song I think is called "Gi agapi min milas" ("Γι αγάπη μην μιλάς"). I haven't heard it all but it's simply magnificent. Unfortunatelly I know nothing about it... So if anyone has any clues to give me (such as title, composer, record...) PLEASE do so... Posted November 11, 2001 · Report post Writing through the whole weekend, I come up with this song from Charis Alexiou: "Proseuchi", the first song on the album"Odos Nefelis '!!". A very sweet melody, good lyrics, a prayer for the dark Autumn and Winter to come (not my favourite season). Micki
Posted November 14, 2001 · Report post It's Μεθυσμένα τραγούδια (Methismena tragoudia) this week, the record just arrived the other day, oh JOY! I've been playing it, and again, and again, but I can't seem to chose a favorite - so here goes: the whole blessed record , on repeat, ENJOY. And the booklet is lying open across the pages I have to translate today (for pay, not love) open to mark the lines I am working on open at that priceless photo on the last two pages open on four mischievous innocent smiles in beautiful winter light. Posted November 14, 2001 · Report post Geeske, my favourite song from this album is "San ton Odyssea" (Σαν τον Οδυσσέα) It's a great song(both music and lyrics), am sure you will like it!
Posted November 14, 2001 · Report post Yes, I like Σαν τον Οδυσσεα it very much indeed. I was specially curious about it, because it is a "someone" song (AntonisGitsas) in the One Member One Song compilation. The more I listen to the record, the more I like it. And it's very much a whole, very consistent in style and quality, it 'hangs together' - maybe that's why I find it extra hard to pick a favorite. Favourites will probably come by the time I figure out what the songs are about. (Remember? I still don't understand the lyrics just by listening... though I'm beginning to catch words here and there, which is almost worse than understanding nothing at all - frustrating, but stimulating, too).
