Posted July 31, 2001 · Report post Hi to all, can anybody tell me what was the reason for D. to write this song? Has he ever been to L.? For longer? BTW I like this song very much. Thanks, Sabine
Posted July 31, 2001 · Report post Well Dalaras didn't write it, Manos Xydous did - but Dalaras did compose the music. It is a good song, I love it too. One the homesick songs...
Posted August 1, 2001 · Report post As the question has been diverted to me...ok, not only he has a house there but he also gave me the keys and I go for vacation every second summer...  And then I wake up...Of course, I am just kidding, I have no idea at all. I divert the question to Anna who comes from that town...(that also has a football club which faced a defeat by Aek Athens last year...that I know!) Posted August 9, 2001 · Report post Sorry, as I was on Crete for 1 week to see Dalaras on concert, I didn't see this posting earlier. Nikola, say thank you as you don't have the key. To come here every 2nd summer!! I'm sure you would like it very much, not 40°, but 14°,... kai exo vrechi!!! This year, in Stuttgart, at the European tour, I had the chance to ask Dalaras about this song. Yes, it's a true story, but it didn't happen to him. It's a story of Manos Xidous, who wrote the lyrics. Dalaras never was in Leverkusen. But now he knows me and my story about this song, the dimarxeion ( where I'm working ) next to the stathmos! Now he got a photobook about Leverkusen ( beside to the 'Leverkusen kouti', he got some years before). And as it's really the most nicest town all over the world, maybe one day he'll buy a house here and stay here for the rest of his life!! Playing guitar and singing only for Annoula and Anna.
