Θα συμφωνούσα με τον gazaka για τον κοινό - ότι οι συναυλίες αυτές ήταν για το μεγαλύτερο μέρος του κοινού "μαργαριτάρια πεταμένα στα γουρούνια" όπως λέμε στην δική μου γλώσσα - ΕΑΝ... αυτή η χώρα ήταν η δική μου - αλλα δεν είναι - και, πιο συμαντικό, ΕΑΝ... χωρούσαν τέτοια προβλήματα στο μυαλό μου τότε.

Και δεν χώρεσαν.

Ιδιαίτερα στην δεύτερη συναυλία, πού ήταν καλύτερος από την πρώτη ο ήχος εκεί μπροστά που καθόμασταν (ευχαριστώ Γωγώ!), και πού καμία άσχετη ανησιχία δεν μ' ενοχλούσε... παραδώθηκα εντελώς.

Με γέμισε τόσο η μουσική που για τιποτ' άλλο απολύτως δεν είχα μυαλό για τις επώμενες δυο-τρεις μέρες. Ούτε καν να παω το Σαββατο να δω τους φίλους στην συνάντηση δεν μπορούσα - ήμουνα τόσο γεμάτη μουσική και τόσο αδειασμένη από ενέργεια, σκέψη και μιλιά. Κυριολεκτικά. Δεν έβλεπα τίποτα, δεν άκουγα τίποτα, δεν είχα τίποτα να πω σε κανέναν.

Ο Νταλάρας ενσαρκωμένο τραγούδι μπροστά στα μάτια μου - τι σημασία να έχουν μετά όλα τα υπόλοιπα;

Μοναδικό μελανό σημείο το κλασικό κοινό του ΜΜΑ που από τη μια χειροκροτούσε σε άσχετα μέρη με αποτέλεσμα να κόβονται τα κομμάτια (ειδικά την Παρασκευή στο Δοξαστικόν δεν υπήρξε σωστό σημείο που να χειροκρότησαν.Το έκοψαν 4 φορές.)

Εγώ ήμουν δίπλα στη Νεφέλη και κουφαθήκαμε όταν χειροκρότησαν στη μέση του Θα σημάνουν οι καμπάνες!! Εκείνη τη στιγμή κοιταχτήκαμε κάπως έτσι:

Όταν το σκηνικό επαναλήφθηκε στο ’ξιον εστί, την πρώτη φορά λέω: " ήμουν σίγουρη!"

Τις επόμενες λίγο πρίν αρχίσει το... σπαστικό χειροκρότημα άρχιζα:" Όχι!! Μη!!! Στόπ!!! Έλεος!!"

Μα καλά δεν έχουν ξαν' ακούσει ποτέ τους ’ξιον εστί;;; Και καλά το ’ξιον εστί... Το Θα σημάνουν οι καμπάνες ποτέ;;;!! :blink: :blink: :blink: Έλεος...

Ο καθείς με τις απόψεις του, λοιπόν... Τουλάχιστον, συμφωνούμε στο μουσικό αποτέλεσμα των συναυλιών. Κι αυτό έχει τη μεγαλύτερη σημασία.

Thanks to all of you for the detailed and personal comments on these two exceptional concerts.

You cant imagine how precious these are : I felt such tremendous excitement at the time the concerts were announced......and such great disappointment when I saw the dates and knew immediately that it would be impossible for me to attend them !

Through your posts, I can feel the love, the wonder and the pride which Im sure would have been mine had I been there too.

It is to be deplored that a part of the public didnt seem to appreciate what privilege it was for them to take part in these events.

But I suppose that, like Geeske, I wouldnt have noticed much except for the music and singing !

For those friends who do not understand the greek language I will try to report my impressions and feelings from Thursday's and Friday's concerts. I had the chance to attend both of George Dalaras perfromances of Axion Esti and Romiosini. As a general impression I would say that each one of the concerts has to be described as a masterpiece. I hope those performances have already been recorded and I suggest at least the release of a DVD.

What can I say to express how George Dalaras performed Romiosimi and Axion Esti. In my opinion he was naturally selected by Mikis Theodorakis to be the one to perform both of his music works. He was wonderful. I was looking forward to listen to Romiosini since he was singing those songs for the very first time. And he performed all songs with great maturity and respect. It seemed like George Dalaras loved Romiosini's songs and sang directly

from the bottom of his heart. At the 2nd concert, I was sitting much closer to the stage, so I was able to see his hands moving, his face. He looked like he was only lining for moments like these. "Otan sfiggoun to heri" and "Tha simanoun oi kampanes" were the performances I liked most. A choir of young ladies joined Dalaras in Romiosini, unlike the original version and I think the result was very good.

In Axion Esti, even if he had already performed it in the past, almost 20 years ago, he was a revelation! He performed all songs in an excellent way and in my opinion we was much better that 1988's performance. What can I say about Axion Esti's last song, "Anigo to stoma mou"! He also sang the last lyrics of Doxastikon together with Tasis Hristogiannopoulos, offering us maybe the concert's best moment.

George Kimoulis was good as the narrator, but he read his part in a flat way, that cannot be compared with Manos Katrakis unforgetable performance in the original version of the oratorio. Tasis Hristogiannopoulos was also a revelation. He performed his parts, baritone parts, in a wonderful way and in my opinion he was the best baritone in any of Axion Esti performances so far, including the original version.

On the first night, Mikis Theodorakis also attended the concert together with his wife. No need to say that he was applauded in the end, as he stood up from his seat and waved at the audience. He was only sitting a few seats away and I could easily observe his way of talking to people and how he was reacting to George Dalaras peformances. In "Romiosini's Tha simanoun oi kabanes" and in "Anigo to stoma mou" his face was glowing.

George Dalaras and all participants were applauded by the audience by the end of the concert, forced to return to stage for a 2nd and a 3rd time.

I have to say though, that the majority of the Athens Concert Hall's audience showed inadmissible ignorance to both Axion Esti and Romiosini by handclapping in the middle of the songs, where pause was a little bigger than usual. This was a fact that made me very ungry.

Ending this note, I wish to say that I enjoyed two unforgetable nights, which I have been dreaming for a very long time. I love Dalaras for what he is, for his passion and love in singing and most of all for his desire to go always a step further. I am quite sure that a cd or a dvd from both of the concerts is going to be released and I guess you will all have the chance to watch those great concerts.

As Makis as said such performances and such moments belong to the realm of historicals events.

I want to thank you too, Dora, because I felt it would be rotten to leave our friends without any report, but I also was (and am) incapable of writing anything about these concerts. It was just too much.

Από το σημερινό(20/11) "Κ" της "ΚΑΘΗΜΕΡΙΝΗΣ"(σελ. 111) :

Και μια συγκινημένη και αποκλειστική δήλωση του Γιώργου Νταλάρα όταν τον ρωτήσαμε "τι αισθάνθηκε όταν τραγούδησε "Ρωμιοσύνη" και "’ξιον Εστί"¨:

-"Τα τραγούδια αυτά εγώ τα τραγούδησα στις οικοδομές, στα συνεργεία αυτοκινήτων που δούλευα και στις ταβέρνες όταν ξεκίνησα. Και με έπιασε μελαγχολία γιατί έκανα τη σύγκριση μ' αυτά που τραγουδάνε τώρα οι νέοι. Εμείς τότε αυτά είχαμε για λαϊκό τραγούδι, μ' αυτά μεγαλώσαμε. Αυτή ήταν η μεγαλωσύνη του τότε και η μελαγχολία του τώρα για τα "σουξέ"...".

Τώρα ξέρουμε γιατί έβαλε την ψυχή του τραγουδώντας τα ο Νταλάρας, φωνή της γενιάς μας...

Και να προσθέσω, εδώ, αυτό που μου είπε συντοπίτης μου μουσικός της ορχήστρας του Νταλάρα(ο οποίος δεν ήταν στην λαϊκή ορχήστρα " Μίκης Θεοδωράκης" και δεν ήταν στις συναυλίες του Μεγάρου στις 10 & 11 /11) όταν, σε πρόσφατη κουβέντα μας, του είπα για το πόσο συγκλονιστικά, κατά γενική ομολογία, ερμήνευσε ο Νταλάρας, ειδικά, τη "ΡΩΜΙΟΣΥΝΗ".

Μου απάντησε : "Μα ο Γιώργος την είχε πάντα μέσα του τη Ρωμιοσύνη, πως να μην την ερμηνεύσει συγκλονιστικά ;! " !

Τάσο, ο συντοπίτης σου μουσικός ''έγραψε''! Έχει απόλυτο δίκιο!

Γωγώ, είναι αλήθεια πως ο Μίκης είναι πολύ ελαστικός σχετικά με τις επιλογές των ερμηνευτών των έργων του, τα τελευταία χρόνια. Υπάρχουν διάφορες σκοπιμότητες γι αυτό. Μετά την ερμηνεία του Γ.Νταλάρα(και δεν είναι υποκειμενικό ''λιβάνισμα'') νομίζω πως κατατάσσεται ,μαζί με τον πρώτο διδάξαντα Μπιθικώτση, στους άξιους ερμηνευτές και της ''Ρωμιοσύνης''. Ήταν ,πραγματικά, συγκλονιστικός!

Είναι βέβαια "ελαφρώς" φλού... Κανονικά θα έπρεπε να περάσω το πρωί να τη βγάλω, αλλά δε το σκέφτηκα! Στην πραγματικότητα η φωτογραφία ήταν πολύ πιο σκοτεινή αλλά τη φώτισα λίγο απ' το πρόγραμμα της μηχανής... Ευτυχώς που υπάρχουν κι αυτά!
