Posted April 27, 2006 · Report post I must say, I'm a little disappointed to read that it's a "follow-up to the certified platinum album, 'Sta Tragoudia Pou Sou Grafo'," since I was particularly fond of only three tracks on that CD.
Posted April 27, 2006 · Report post It's true that the last album was a little dissapointing, it was not of the style that we know dalaras sings.... Hopefully, he stopped all this experamental crap (sorry to those who like it ) I would like him to continue his usual LAIKO style....
Posted April 27, 2006 · Report post I think what he meant was that is is the next studio album since the last one. No matter who is releasing it. It follows the last studio album.....
Posted April 27, 2006 · Report post God I hope not!!!! He should return to his "LAIKO" roots.....a zeimbekiko or two.

I would not say that the last album ("Sta tragoudia pou sou grafo") was "experamental crap" (to my mind this were some albums he made before ). Concerning his (?) usual Laiko style (however we define it), I would also like him to continue with it. But I think in today's music the maximum we can expect in this direction, was already his last album. I would be very suprised if the new one is more "laiko". Posted April 28, 2006 · Report post His last album was not "experimental"....but some others definately fall in this category...
Posted May 10, 2006 · Report post With my good friend chris I just heard the 2 new songs from the Maxi Single if there was ever any doubt, Dalaras is making a mistake I eat my words. Only ticket purchases remain to be seen in terms of sales or not. But the 1st song is WOW Amazing This is a contempoary but Traditional Folk-Laiko song It's a cross of the Clarino playing a Vorios-Epiros style blended in with a modern but Dimotiko Tsamiko Bravo Giorgio I like it as for 2nd song well I leave that for another post!! Whats that, cant wait for it, want it now well okay you talk me into it  Hmm music is strong but I dont care for the melody as much singing wise is not bad but could be better I thought in terms of range on the vocals. Overall though - its a good song and very fast and upbeat. If the other tracks precede in this format, it should be a bestseller. Remember Dalaras is on that journey and all of his quests are Huge Sucesses!!

Posted May 19, 2006 · Report post I'm going crazy trying to locate everyone on this site. There are so many "topics" that I don't know where anyone or any messages I may be interested are. OK, now that I found you, I have some questions. Did I read right that the new cd is a remake of Sta Trogoudia Pou Sou Grafo basically? (Not sure I spelled it right) It is not one of my favorites. Christo, are the 2 songs you mentioned from the new cd? Any further word about the proposed N.Y. concert? I'm asking all these questions at once in case I loose you all again. Have a good weekend, Louise
Posted May 19, 2006 · Report post Did I read right that the new cd is a remake of Sta Trogoudia Pou Sou Grafo basically? (Not sure I spelled it right) It is not one of my favorites. It has nothing to do with the CD "Sta tragoudia pou sou grafo". It is a new CD, with music from the Albanian musician Dasho Kurti. Its music is very different from the last cd (which i didn't like much, either), it has many elemtents of what some would call "traditional music".
