Armida by Th. Mikroutsikos in Cuban style

7 posts in this topic

Hallo!

I have heard the song Armida by Thanos Mikroutsikos on the radio, but not the ordinary version, but a version which was in Cuban style. I was very surprised when I heard it. I managed to stream it, you can download it partially here: http://www.arvanitis.at/armida_cuban.mp3. Does anyone have further information on this version of the song? Who are the artists? On which album or CD may I find it? Did you ever hear it before?

This rendition is by the band APURIMAC and the song is from their album

APURIMAC / I SKOUNA

here are their albums;

All members know them, in 2000 Giorgos Ntalaras and Al di Meola

released a song on their album XORIS SONORA called Hasta Siempre.

Hallo!

That's cool, thank you so much for the information. I know Hasta Siempre, it is one of my favourite songs, but I actually didn't know it was this group who performed it.

In Hasta Siempre, Giorgos Ntalaras is actually accompanied by the guitarist Al di Meola

and the band APURIMAC (Daniel Armando, Kostis Papadopoulos, Fabio Muro, Kostas Giazoglou).

The female backing vocalist is Marta Moreleon.
