Posted March 22, 2009 · Report post Alona, this song was written by Mikis Theodorakis and Manos Eleftheriou (lyrics). Petros Gaitanos sang it in the album Politia D (1996). A great song!!!!

Posted March 22, 2009 · Report post These are the lyrics as I could understand them, by hearing them: Ασ' τους να μας κοροϊδεύουν με πιο πικρά τους λόγια δεν γνωρίζουν τι ειν' αγάπη δεν γνωρίζουν τι είναι φλόγα Ασ' τους να μας κοροϊδεύουν και δεν ξέρουν τι γυρεύουν Ασ' τους να μας κοροϊδεύουν τη ψυχή και το κορμί μας στο παιχνίδι που μας παίζουν όλοι οι άσσοι είναι δικοί μας Θέλουν το λοιπόν να κλέβουν Ασ' τους να μας κοροϊδεύουν Ασ' τους να μας κοροϊδεύουν οι μικροί και οι μοιραίοι που από την πόρτα μας περνάνε κάθε μέρα σαν λαθραίοι Ασ' τους να μας κοροϊδεύουν κάπου θέλουν για ν' ανέβουν

Posted March 22, 2009 · Report post A beautiful song indeed like most of Politeia D; Gaitanos voice is very pleasant too. Alona, you can find the lyrics of all the songs on Stixoi. I put them there myself 2 years ago intending to translate them into French.but I never did it. In the meantime they have been translated into Italian. Apostolis , Thanasis .....has Dalaras ever sung any of the songs of Politeia D (except for Drapetsona of course)?
Posted March 22, 2009 · Report post Unfortunately Annette, Dalaras has never sang any song from Politia D. Oh, and actually "Drapetsona" was first released in the album Politia (1961) with Grigoris Bithikotsis.
Posted March 22, 2009 · Report post Thank you Apostolis. No one else than Petros Gaitanos has sung Politeia D then? As for Drapetsona terminating this work, Mikis Theodorakis gives the following explanation in the booklet accompanying the CD: « Μετά το σκληρό ΑΣΙΚΙΚΟ ΠΟΥΛΑΚΗ, ίδου η γλυκειά ΠΟΛΙΤΕΙΑ Δ.
