Posted June 19, 2002 · Report post On the radio a few minutes ago: Dalaras singing a song of which the chorus contains the line "o dromos einai mystikos" - and despite help from my beautiful dictionary, I couldn't find it in the site... Lovely song, it was. Old-fashioned sounding, sort of. Can anyone tell me more about it, please?

Posted June 21, 2002 · Report post Ok, I have more information about this new work of Dalaras, after talking to producers from Melodia radio. So, a new cd has been released a few days ago, with songs and instrumental pieces, composed by Nikos Antipas and the lyrics by Lina Nokolakopoulou, vocals by Dalaras, with the title "Κατω απ' την Ακρόπολη". The music and the songs are written for aTV serial with a similar title which was shown by ET1 the past winter! (To be honest, I haven't ever seen it and didn't even know it existed on TV! I hardly turn the TV on! ) Anyway, a couple of songs I've heard until now are superb!! The music is beautiful(don't forget, we're talking about N.Antypas here), the lyrics are so simple and true(don't forget either, we're talking about L.Nikolakopoulou) and Dalaras, what to say about him! I'm sure he likes these songs, because he gives so much passion when singing them!! This cd IS something completely "new" in style and IS a "must"-and I don't use this word often, believe me!! Posted June 21, 2002 · Report post Than I MUST have it (as Geske said, there are ways). Thanks for the information, very much. btw, now we have a w..m..s..r, a photographer, a whole lot of translators, investigators  , journalists, reporters, our very own granny, poets, humourists, ... This is looking very professional ! Micki (dreaming of bougatsa)
Posted June 21, 2002 · Report post Ok. So this means, there was a tv series actually being shown on tv with Dalaras singing its music, and we didn't know. And an entirely new cd with entirely new songs prepared and released and we didn't know. (I mean, we've been speculating about the Zygos release all over the forum, but I haven't heard much about this one). Does he do it on purpose???? Or do we just have to sack half Minos-EMI???? Anyway. Eleni, is it in the shops yet, or when will it be?

Posted June 21, 2002 · Report post I just want to add that it's not the first time that Dalaras sings for the theme of a TV serie. Βαμμένα Κόκκινα μαλλιά and Το τελευταίο αντίο were also great TV series (of course they were books first)
Posted June 23, 2002 · Report post These are not the only soundtracks Dalaras has sang. It is also the album "Ταξίδι στα Κύθηρα", the "Μελισσοκόμος - Τα βουρκωμένα μάτια μου" and the "Τι έχουν να δουν τα μάτια μου"
Posted June 23, 2002 · Report post The 2 new songs from "Κάτω απ' την Ακρόπολη" are "Η σιωπή" and "Σε παραλίες κι αμμουδιές". (Nikos Antypas-Lina Nikolakopoulou) The song "mysterious street" that Geeske wrote, actually is "Η σιωπή" Here are the lyrics: H σιωπή --------- Η σιωπή πολλά θα σου πει αχ ένα σωρό Ετοιμάσου και πες στην καρδιά σου να φτιάχνει καιρό Θα κλάψεις στην αρχή μα θα βγεις μετά εξοχή Η σιωπή είναι δρόμος παλιός δεν φεύγεις αλλιώς.
As far as the other album "Anamniseis" is concerned, I don't know if it is a "new" album.... Posted July 29, 2002 · Report post As I'm looking down that mysterious street, I can only add too and say now that I've discovered it. Geeske you were right on choosing mysteriois street for this topic. It is indeed a mysterious road and I've just heard and unraveled it from the new participation song of Siopi. A nice beautiful ballad. Too bad there weren't more on there like this one. Well I guess its not a mystery anymore
