Posted September 25, 2001 · Report post I made one 2 weeks ago. It's not very representative as it reflects those songs that were my favorites at the time. The list may change but I will make another one really soon. So, the one I made, here it goes: Γύρω γύρω στην πλατεία Σόδομα Διδυμότειχο Blues Νυχτερίδα Δώστε μου μια ταυτότητα Ήταν πέντε ήταν έξι Η άσφαλτος που τρέχει Καϋμέ του κόσμου Ελλοπία Πρωινό τσιγάρο (με τη Χάρις Αλεξίου) A board de l' Aspasia I will survive (the well known song in its REM version, live and totally unplugged. I know, no Dalaras here) Ο σκλάβος Όσο βαρούν τα σίδερα
Posted September 25, 2001 · Report post Both Astron and Soc's selections were really very good ones. After trying,I've seen that it's a really very difficult thing,to choose only 15 songs of Dalaras. But at last I could form my own list. What do you think about it? 1)THEOS AN INE 2)ITAN PENTE,ITAN EXI 3)OLA KALA 4)AN YPARCHI LOGOS 5)TA VEGALIKA SOU MATIA 6)TI PATHOS 7)MES TOY BOSPOROU TA STENA 8)MI MOU THIMONIS MATIA MOU 9)PARAPONEMENA LOGIA 10)TELO NA TA PO 11)TA BASANA DEN LEGONTAI 12)IMITLERIM 13)PENTE HRONIA DIKASMENOS 14)GLORIA 15)KI AN SE TELO

For the jacket: I would like various pictures of Dalaras from different periods and with an autograph of course. On the back, the list of the songs and a small picture of my meeting with Dalaras. Sarantiis, would that do? Micki

Posted September 26, 2001 · Report post Sarantis Great topic and glad you thought of it. First I will give you my top 15 selections for Vol I cd. hehe since I like almost all Dalaras songs I would need many volumes to complete my favorites. okay without further a due here they are: 15. Kali Tuhi 14. Stin Alana 13. Fantasia 12. H Ballanta Ton Ais8heon Kai Ton Parais8hseon 11. Irtha Yia Popse Ta Skakalopatia sou. 10. Stou Thoma 9. Mano Mou Ellas 8. Nykterida 7. Ta Fantasmata 6. Me Ths Kardias Ton Xtypo 5. Edo Ki Eki 4. Xenos Gia Sena Ne Kai Tros 3. My Girizis Pia 2. Mi Milas Kindinevi H Ellas 1. Arapias Now let me ask you a question. On my computer, I can only copy directly from one cd to another. In other words it has to be copied in its entirety from the original source. No matter how many tracks are on the original to the copy it has to be done in this format. I can not pick and choose which ones I want to edit, exclude, include etc., How do you mix and match on yours?
Posted September 26, 2001 · Report post Micki,Christo and Sarantiis.I have two words for you:GREAT SELECTέONS.How could I forget to include "e elefteri kai orei" in my CD?Or "kali tihi"?Or "taxidi sta kithira"?....But I think it was because of being limited with only 15 songs. After reading Micki's creative idea about the CD jacket,it was necessary for me to improve mine. Now,I am thinking of a jacket with a black and white illustration of Dalaras on it.Certainly showing him on stage.Wouldn't it be better? Posted September 26, 2001 · Report post Sarantis, thank you, you have taken a great load of my mind. I was torturing myself trying to choose 15 songs only from all the songs I love and there you are with your (almost) perfect list. I say 'almost' because I always need Doste mou mia taftotita. So which title should I delete ?
Posted September 26, 2001 · Report post I forgot to talk about the jacket. I would put Picture number 5 (Cuba1.jpg) from the Diafores section. Wait a minute. I have done that already!
Posted September 27, 2001 · Report post One cd with all my favourites is just impossible. What I'm trying to work out is a CD with 15 songs that mean particularly much to me at this particular time of grief and danger in the world. And I need a second one, with 15 other songs, that mean something special to me in my personal troubles. As you can imagine, this is taking some serious time&thinking... not to mention checking the spelling I'll let you know though.
Posted September 28, 2001 · Report post I'm working on mine but it will take some time, as I really have a problem to decide on just 15, but will let you know soon.
Posted September 28, 2001 · Report post Christo, I hope I remember well and understood well, that in your message you said to have difficulty to get different music tracks together on a CD. I use "Easy CD Creator" by Adaptec and it is ONLY version 3.5. They are allready at version 5.0 I think. But when I make a CD I have those WAV-files on my Harddisk to select from. The program I use to Encode the original CD is called Gamut-98 and it allows me to get the music from CD into the PC as MP3 So all my music is in MP3 format within the PC and prior to burning a CD I encode it back from MP3 to WAV using a program, MPEG decoder 948 kB, that I can easily send you attached to an E-mail. For those frequent CD burners among members. Please scan your Covers. In JPEG they can easily be exchanged attached to an E-mail.

Posted September 28, 2001 · Report post It 's not hard, it's impossible, So you don't burn one cd, you burn one cd everytime you are in the mood. When I was burning the one I mentioned in this thread, someone walked by and said: Again? Is there anything left? I replied: Of course there is. She said: So, what's the title for this one now? My reply: Τα άγραφα
