My plans for holidays for this year were made already: 2 weeks in the end of June and 2 weeks in the end of September. Then they announced the Dalaras summer tour around Greece. And now? What can I do? As I said once before, I'm afraid one day he will stop, so I try to realize what's possible, to go to a concert. As I saw he's doing concerts on Crete, 3 in one week, I thought, this is what you try! Try, this is to explain: it makes me nervous to go to Greece without having already a ticket for a concert. Here in Germany you have to book months before, I know it's different in Greece, but....sometimes I'm still German! O.K. the 28th of July I went from Duesseldorf to Chania. Saturday, I had to wait until Monday to arrange to get a ticket. Shops were closed. No problem to buy on Monday, I think they were a little astonished, because the concert was on Thursday and I wanted to buy already on Monday. This is Greece! The concert in Chania started at 21.30h , so I was there at 19.30h. Who comes first gets the best places! I arrived at the stadion and I heard: 'ena, dio, ena' soundcheck was starting!! Of course the stadion was closed and 2 policemen didn't anyone in! But around the corner it was possible to look through a small opening in the fence. Dalaras, this time with a white t-shirt and sunglasses, starting to sing ' trelos gia sena'! Extra concert before the concert!! Who was mad? Although the acoustics weren't that good, the concert was great! And the best part was with the old songs. It's always a great feeling for me to sit there among them and we all sing together with Dalaras. Sometimes I'm singing more than them , I have the impression I know more songs as them!! Funny!! After the concert I tried to meet Dalaras, but no chance, as soon as the music stops he disappeares, like dust in the wind! But I said hello to Mike Cooper, Thanassis Sofras and Fillipos Tsemberoulis! Next day,Thursday 3rd of Aug. I went with the bus from Chania to Iraklio, only 3hours. only 38°C !! Dalaras is worth any effort ( you remember!!) The concert was in the stadion of OFI Crete. The stage was on the fields, but it was not allowed to sit there. Only on the tribune and 1/3 until 1/2 of it was locked!! You see it was very crowded in our corner!! I was sitting on the wall in front of the tribune. If someone would have pushed my back, I would fall down 2 m. But no problem, good atmosphere and big welcomes to the new songs!! The acoustics was brilliant. Although Dalaras was very far away, this concert was brilliant. Maybe as we were sitting in this corner the echoes was marvellous. I thought a million of people were singing together. Saturday, 4th of Aug. from Iraklio to Sitia. 2 hours., 37°C. 15.30h, where do I get a ticket? all shops closed. I strolled around a little bit, exactly not knowing where to go. Suddenly I heard Dalaras' voice. Music from a small tourist shop. Of course you can get ticket, (it's only 6 hours before the concert!!) How do I get from Sitia to Vai ( 20km)? No problem, we have free busservice to go and to go back!! This easy!! This concert was at Finikodasos, that means on the palmtree beach. So they build up the stage in front of the palms, but some hundred of plastic chairs in , that's it! Of course not this easy, I think the technics got a lot of work! And it was so windy! After the first song the notebook desk of Christos Thimbeios fall down! And they needed a lot of pins to keep the songpapers. Anyway the concert was as good as ever!! But Dalaras had to cover his t-shirt with a blouson! At 23.00h the full moon rised up from the mountain, at 0.30h they played the last song. Not 'paraponemena logia' and not one of the songs they usually play at the end. Yes, the last song, and as far as I know, it was the 1st time this was the last song: 'mia vradia sto Leverkusen'!! And to give it one more, when they started the song, behind the palmtrees a firework went into the sky!!! I was sitting there with my mouth wide opened. This was an absolutely nice end to 'my' concerts on Crete. Next day ( Sunday) I left from Sitia airport ( the building is as big as my livingroom!!) with the 19person propeller plan to Athens. Funny, my fist welcme to the new big airport of Athens with the smallest plan. And to end: from Athens via Munic to Cologne and at 22.30h I was at home in Leverkusen.

Ελίνα,μπορεί έτσι να φαίνονται,από τη στιγμή όμως που έχει να δώσει προσωπική του συναυλία,από το 2001 στην Κρήτη...και λίγες είναι!! Γνωρίζεις σαφώς καλύτερα τα της Κρήτης. Alona, πανταχού παρούσα! Το 2001 συνδύασα διακοπές και συναυλίες (4 τότε). Most of you know, that I "accompanied this tour. Not as a member of the Group, I did it on my own. But even for just one Person, a lot of Organisation is necessary. And even if you "only" visit These concerts, I noticed it's not Holidays. I'm not complaining, I just want to express my deepest respect for Giorgos Dalaras, his musicians and his Crew. I'm very sorry it takes such a time until you get some impressions from me... but I got a new computer, new windows and every thing it different and difficult for me ...seems I'm getting old. So, first of all I'd like to say thank you to all who did already give their comments with photos, videos and descriptions !!! To my opinion we got a great Rembetiko tour. Some notes to the songs. They did all songs of the play list (also those with the question mark), except "όποια και να `σαι". At the end of "Μια βραδιά στο Λεβερκούζεν" Dalaras introduced all musicians. I liked, as so he created a kind of "gap", before he did "Θεός αν είναι". Otherwise it would have been a bit strange. George Bizos attended the concert and Dalaras dedicated to him the song "Όμορφη και παράξενη πατρίδα". As encore we "only" got "μη μου θυμώνεις μάτια μου". Thank God, as I didn't want to leave the concert before the end and my time was already running out...

Aυτή τη φορά, ο Mιχάλης Tζουγανάκης και ο Mπάμπης Στόκας αποφάσισαν να αλλάξουν ρόλους και ακούσματα, να πλησιάσουν τις μουσικές και τα τραγούδια τους και να ρίξουν γέφυρα επικοινωνίας ανάμεσα στο ροκ και το παραδοσιακό τραγούδι. Oι δυο τους, Στόκας και Tζουγανάκης, ετοίμασαν ένα πρόγραμμα χωρίς προκαταλήψεις, με τραγούδια «πειραγμένα», τα οποία θα μοιραστούν δημιουργικά στον «Zυγό». Eκτός από τα δικά τους αγαπημένα, θα κάνουν μια περιήγηση στο σύγχρονο ελληνικό τραγούδι, αντλώντας από τη δεξαμενή της παραδοσιακής και της έντεχνης μουσικής. Η Συμφωνική ορχήστρα του Δήμου Θεσσαλονίκης και η Χορωδία Θεσσαλονίκης καθώς και ο Γιώργος Νταλάρας, ένας από τους σπουδαιότερους πρεσβευτές της τρέχουσας ελληνικής μουσικής σκηνής, τιμούν κάτω από την καθοδήγηση του Κύπριου Μαέστρου Γιώργου Κουντούρη τον μεγάλο ποιητή Κωνσταντίνο Καβάφη. Το έτος 2013 ανακηρύχτηκε από το Ελληνικό υπουργείο Πολιτισμού προς τιμήντου μεγάλου ποιητή, έτος Κωνσταντίνου Καβάφη. Ο συνθέτης επεξεργάστηκε με τους μαθητές της Γερμανικής Σχολής Θεσσαλονίκης ένα κομμάτι που θα το εντάξει στην συναυλία. Ετσι λοιπόν θα προσαρμόσει ένα κομμάτι στα οργανα και τις φωνές των μαθητών. Το υπόλοιπο κονσέρτο θα εκτελεστεί από τον ερμηνευτή Γιώργο Νταλάρα, την Ορχήστρα και την Χορωδία του Δήμου Θεσσαλονίκης. Καβάφη, με τη φωνή του μεγάλου ερμηνευτή Γιώργου Νταλάρα, τη θεατρική απαγγελία του εμβληματικού Bruno Ganz και όχημα τη μουσική του Αλέξανδρου Καρόζα, θα κατακτήσει το κοινό της Θεσσαλονίκης σε μια συναυλία-αφιέρωμα στα 150 χρόνια από τη γέννηση του Αλεξανδρινού ποιητή (Αίθουσα Φίλων Μουσικής Μ1). Το Γιώργο Νταλάρα θα πλαισιώσει η Μικτή Χορωδία Θεσσαλονίκης, σε μουσική διδασκαλία της Μαίρης Κωνσταντινίδου. Συμμετέχει η Συμφωνική Ορχήστρα του Δήμου Θεσσαλονίκης. Η εκδήλωση The Kavafis Project, που εντάσσεται στον εορτασμό του έτους Καβάφη, αποτελεί συμπαραγωγή του Μεγάρου Μουσικής Θεσσαλονίκης, του Δήμου Θεσσαλονίκης (Αντιδημαρχία Πολιτισμού) και της Γερμανικής Σχολής Θεσσαλονίκης, η οποία γιορτάζει φέτος τα 125 χρόνια από την ίδρυσή της. Απόδωσε με εύγλωττο τρόπο τα νοήματα του μεγάλου μας ποιητή αποσπώντας την καθολική αποδοχή του κοινού. «Ο Καβάφης σε διαρκή αναζήτηση της ανθρώπινης υπόστασης ένοιωθε τις αντιφατικότητές της. Άφησε ανεξίτηλο στίγμα κριτικής αλλά και φως πορείας. Προσπάθησα να περικλείσω μουσικά την ποικιλόχρωμη κουλτούρα του Ελληνισμού και να βασιστώ σε αυθεντικές ρίζες κλασικής ελληνικής και ευρύτερα μεσογειακής μουσικής παράδοσης» σημειώνει σε δήλωσή του ο Αλέξανδρος Καρόζας δημιουργός και εμπνευστής του έργου. And another one from Ta Nea 05.02.2013: «Barbaren», αυτοσαρκασμός και αισιοδοξία Η αίθουσα της Φιλαρμονικής του Μονάχου έχει τη δική της σημειολογία. Από εκεί εξάλλου έχουν περάσει αστέρες μαέστροι και αρχιμουσικοί τύπου Μπερνστάιν ή Κάραγιαν. Και αν ο Καβάφης ήταν από μόνος του ένας λόγος για να εκδράμουν ακόμη και από άλλες πόλεις της Γερμανίας εκατοντάδες ομογενείς το βράδυ του Σαββάτου, ο Γιώργος Νταλάρας ήταν ο δεύτερος. Ο τραγουδιστής χειροκροτούνταν θερμά κάθε φορά που τελείωνε την ερμηνεία ενός μελοποιημένου ποιήματος του Καβάφη, ενώ στεκόταν όρθιος και ακίνητος πλάι στον διευθυντή της ορχήστρας Στέφαν Βλαντάρ. Από την άλλη πλευρά στεκόταν ο γνωστός γερμανός ηθοποιός Λάμπερτ Χάμελ, που απήγγειλε ποιήματα του αλεξανδρινού ποιητή στα γερμανικά. Πίσω τους 137 άνθρωποι, μουσικοί της Wiener Kammer Orchester και η χορωδία της Wiener Singakademie σχημάτιζαν ένα συμπαγές συμφωνικό σύνολο. Ο Γιώργος Νταλάρας κατέφθασε στη Φιλαρμονική του Μονάχου (συνοδεία της συζύγου του Αννας) τέσσερις ώρες πριν από τη συναυλία και ξεδίπλωσε τον παροιμιώδη επαγγελματισμό του, δοκιμάζοντας ακόμη και τον ήχο του πιάνου. Λίγο προτού αρχίσει η συναυλία μια ελληνίδα ομογενής τον πλησίασε και του είπε: «Μου έχετε χαρίσει ίσως την ομορφότερη βραδιά στη ζωή μου. Μια συναυλία παλαιότερα στην Κυλλήνη». Η Σέττυ Προκόπη έφτασε ώρες πριν στον χώρο της συναυλίας. Οδήγησε με την κόρη της 165 χιλιόμετρα, αφού διαμένει στη Νυρεμβέργη και έδειχνε συγκινημένη: «Ηλθα στη Γερμανία το 1969. Εργάζομαι ως μηχανολόγος και ήλθα σήμερα εδώ αφού δίνει το «παρών» ένας μεγάλος έλληνας καλλιτέχνης. Είναι σημαντικό που ακούγεται ο λόγος του Καβάφη εδώ και λόγω της πίεσης που δεχθήκαμε ως έλληνες εξαιτίας της δυσφήμησης που προκάλεσε η κρίση». Λίγο αργότερα, κατά τη διάρκεια της συναυλίας ο Λάμπερτ Χάμελ είχε απαγγείλει - ανάμεσα στα άλλα ποιήματα - το «Περιμένοντας τους Βαρβάρους». Στην κάθε φορά τονισμένη λέξη «Barbaren» από τον γερμανό ηθοποιό διέκρινα το αυτοσαρκαστικό του μειδίαμα. Και το μακρύ χειροκρότημα του «βαρβαρικού» - για εμάς τους έλληνες - κοινού ή, αλλιώς, το γεγονός πως και ο Γερμανός θέλει τον... And the best, the CD is out. And this CD is absolute genius. They cut the speaking of Bruno Ganz, so now you are able to concentrate to the music and the singing. What a difference to listen to this music at home! During the concert, a lot of “disturbances” reduce the impression. I mean “disturbances” like looking to the musicians, looking to Dalaras, watching the conductor, listening to the speaking, etc. Put on the CD, close your eyes and enjoy this master piece!
