Athens 2004

1 post in this topic

The Olympic Flame returned to Greece yesterday after a global relay of over 78,000 kilometers (47,000 miles), through 26 countries on five continents. It left Athens on June 2 and returned to a traditional welcome at Iraklion, Crete, aboard a plane named Zeus after the father of the Olympian gods who, legend has it, grew up on the island. Some 7,000 runners will carry it through 29 Greek towns before the Games begin.

And here is the list of the end of day celebrations:

Its worth to be in Greece in the summer, especially this year :)
